课程概要：
Module1: Principles and Techniques of Translation 《英汉翻译原理与技巧》
This module outlines the knowledge and skills a translator needs to possess. The students are guided to investigate the problems of translatability and explore the ways to tackle them.
Module 2: Chinese to English Translation 《英汉互译之汉译英》
This module develops participants’ ability to translate texts of different types from Chinese into English. Participants will be introduced to skills for handling texts. Topics to be covered include: technical features, styles, appropriateness of register, range of expressions, and cultural aspects of the original language and the target language. Authentic texts in different contemporary contexts will be chosen for discussion and practices.
Module 3: English to Chinese Translation 《英汉互译之英译汉》
This module develops participants’ ability to translate texts of different texts from English into Chinese. Participants will be introduced to the skills for handling texts. Topics to be covered include: technical features, styles, appropriateness of register, range of expressions, and cultural aspects of the original language and the target language. Authentic texts in different contemporary contexts will be chosen for discussion and practices.
Module 4：Sight translation and interpreting《视译与口译》
This is a foundation module which provides participants with an introduction to sight translation, the basic concepts of interpreting as well as the skills and procedures involved in interpreting from English to Chinese and vice versa.
Module 5: workshop in interpreting:《现场翻译》
The module integrates theoretical knowledge with practice in order to develop participants’ advanced interpreting skills in business and government settings, including negotiations, meetings, technical discussions, seminars and other events.
教材与学习资料：
教材：每个模块都有学习教材。教材由国际知名专家学者编订，完全可满足学员的学习要求（学员可以自行在各大书店购买，也可以委托培训中心代购）。
辅助资料：学员将得到授课教师的讲义，该讲义将把学习指南中描述的考试要点扩展到学习单元，指明了各部分课程所要求的达标标准及相应考试技巧。
